Dive-site story
Located off the northern coast of Orchid Island (Lanyu), Yunu Rock (Ji-mavonot in the native Tao language) is marked above water by an iconic hollowed volcanic sea stack. Submerged, the reef features rugged volcanic topography punctuated by canyons, arches, and coral-covered boulders sloping into clear open water. The site is famous for frequent encounters with sea snakes resting in crevices or swimming gracefully toward the surface to breathe.
