Dive-site story
Located off the coast of Xiaoliuqiu, this open-water site centers around commercial offshore aquaculture cages. Algae and biofouling growing on the heavy netting create a concentrated feeding station for resident green sea turtles. Below the floating structures, schools of pelagic fish circle the midwater columns before the terrain drops to a sandy seafloor.
Resident green sea turtles grazing directly on the underwater cage netting
Large schools of circular batfish hanging in the current beneath the floating pens
Frequent encounters with foraging jacks and trevally along the cage perimeters
