Dive-site story
Steel Reef is an iconic artificial reef off the southwestern coast of Green Island, created from massive steel pyramid structures placed across the sandy sea floor. The open framework has become thickly encrusted with soft corals, hydroids, and sponges over the years. Resident schools of friendly orbicular batfish regularly approach descending divers to inspect them at close range.
