Dive-site story
Resting upright on the seabed off the southern coast of Xiaoliuqiu, this decommissioned Republic of China Navy vessel now serves as an artificial reef. The superstructure attracts dense schools of pelagic fish, while encrusting soft corals and sponges cover the steel railings and gun mounts. Given its exposed offshore position and substantial depth, the wreck is strictly a boat dive best suited for experienced divers comfortable with blue-water descents and current management.
Well-preserved naval shipwreck structure encrusted in soft corals
Resident schools of batfish circling the upper deck
Frequent encounters with green sea turtles resting on the hull
Deep blue-water descent down an open mooring line

Seasonality
Calmer seas and optimal visibility occur during spring through autumn, though Xiaoliuqiu offers diveable conditions year-round due to sheltering from northern winter monsoons.
