Dive-site story
ROCS Wan An was a naval salvage ship decommissioned and deliberately scuttled as an artificial reef off the coast of Toucheng in Yilan County. Resting upright on a silty seabed, the steel superstructure has become heavily encrusted with soft corals, hydroids, and sea whips. Divers encounter open cargo spaces, masts, and exterior decks that attract schooling pelagics and resident predators seeking shelter from open coastal currents.
Well-preserved naval hull and bridge structures colonized by dense soft coral growth
Schools of pelagic fish patrolling the deck and mast sections
Opportunity for deep wreck navigation and advanced photography
