Dive-site story
Xiaogouwan, situated along the southwestern coast of the Hengchun Peninsula near Kenting, is a secluded coastal inlet sheltered by natural limestone and coral formations. Divers enter from a rocky shore into a shallow coral lagoon that gradually slopes out to sand channels and scattered coral bommies. While often quieter than neighboring tourist beaches, tidal currents can pick up quickly once moving past the protective reef crest.
Rugged fringing reef structure interspersed with sandy gullies
Macro photography opportunities among hard coral gardens
Frequent green sea turtle encounters in shallow flats
