Dive-site story
Located off the northeastern coast of Orchid Island (Lanyu), Battleship Rock consists of volcanic islet formations rising directly from deep open water. Underwater, the site drops into steep walls, massive boulders, and deep sandy gullies swept by oceanic currents. The exposed position invites pelagic species alongside sea fan forests and soft coral gardens, making it one of the premier offshore sites around Lanyu.
Vibrant gorgonian sea fans clinging to volcanic drop-offs
Frequent encounters with banded sea kraits and pelagic schools
Dramatic underwater topography featuring sheer basalt drop-offs and swim-throughs
