Dive-site story
ROCS Sui Yang, a retired Gearing-class destroyer, was scuttled off the northern coast of Green Island to form an artificial reef. Heavy storm activity over the years collapsed parts of the superstructure, scattering metal framework and plating across a wide sand flat. Divers dropping onto the wreckage encounter encrusted steel bulkheads, open hull corridors, and dense schools of pelagic fish patrolling above the debris field.
