Dive-site story
Located along the western coast of the Hengchun Peninsula in Kenting, Hejie features a sloping reef plateau that drops onto an expanse of sand and coral ridges. Divers navigate a rocky shore entry across an intertidal limestone platform before reaching outer pinnacles draped with sea fans and black coral whips. Strong currents regularly wash the deeper slopes, attracting pelagic fish and demanding good buoyancy control.
Extensive sea fan formations clinging to outer reef drop-offs
Colonies of garden eels anchored across deeper sand channels
Drift diving opportunities along dramatic coral spurs
