Dive-site story
The ROCS Ling Yun is an ex-naval auxiliary transport ship scuttled off the coast of Jiangjun Island in the Penghu archipelago to serve as an artificial reef. Resting upright on an open seabed, the superstructure attracts schooling pelagic fish and dense encrusting growth. Strong tidal currents sweep through the surrounding passage, requiring precise descent and ascent protocols along a mooring line.
Substantial intact hull and bridge structures colonized by soft corals
Schools of barracuda, jacks, and batfish circling the upper deck
Challenging blue-water navigation that rewards experienced wreck divers
