Boobie Island, commonly known as Booby Rock, sits exposed off the southern tip of St. John. The underwater terrain features massive boulder piles, sheer rock faces, and deep crevices dropping onto a sand and coral floor. Because the rock stands out in open water, pelagic species frequent the perimeter while resting nurse sharks and stingrays shelter beneath undercut ledges.
