Dive-site story
Sunk as an artificial reef off Fort Lauderdale in the mid-1980s, the Hog Heaven barge rests upside down on a flat sand bottom. The hull has broken open over time, exposing an interior that divers can easily peek into alongside scattered concrete culverts, pipes, and communication towers placed nearby to form a compact reef complex.
