Dive-site story
Situated right off the sheltered cove in Gordon's Bay beside the harbor wall, Bikini Beach provides an accessible shore dive in False Bay. The topography consists of a gently sloping sandy bottom giving way to scattered granite boulders, low reef ridges, and kelp fronds. Because the site is protected from prevailing southerly winds, it frequently serves as a location for entry-level training and relaxed macro hunting, particularly at night when nocturnal animals emerge across the sand.
Sheltered shore entry off a sandy beach next to the harbor breakwater
Frequent encounters with small benthic catsharks resting among kelp and boulders
Excellent spot for macro photography and night diving
