쿠웨이트의 다이빙 포인트

쿠바르섬(Kubbar Island)은 쿠웨이트 남부 해안 앞 페르시아만에 위치한 무인 산호 모래섬입니다. 섬 주변은 뇌산호와 아크로포라 경산호 군락이 주를 이루는 거초 형태의 패치 리프로 둘러싸여 있습니다. 다이버들은 모래 바닥으로 완만하게 이어지는 얕은 산호 정원을 탐험하며, 쿠웨이트 해역에서 보기 드문 자연 산호초 서식지를 경험할 수 있습니다.

쿠웨이트 연안에서 멀리 떨어진 해역에 위치한 카루 섬(Qarooh Island)은 얕은 모래 사면으로 둘러싸인 프린징 패치 리프가 특징인 곳입니다. 섬 주변의 리프 구조는 페르시아만 북부에서 경산호 군락과 산란을 위해 찾는 바다거북에게 중요한 안식처 역할을 합니다.

Situated around Kuwait's smallest offshore coral island, this site features a shallow fringing reef ecosystem surrounded by open waters of the Persian Gulf. Hard coral structures, including brain and tabular coral formations, step down into sandy flats where rays and reef predators roam. It serves as an important nesting and foraging ground for sea turtles in Kuwaiti waters.
