Dive-site story
Muren, also known as the Jeté in Drøbaksundet, is a historic artificial underwater defense wall built in the nineteenth century to protect Oslo from naval incursions. The submerged stone structure runs across parts of the fjord, providing a distinct artificial reef habitat that drops down along tiered boulders. The rock blocks are heavily colonized by cold-water invertebrates and provide shelter for classic North Sea and fjord species.
Extensive underwater stone rampart with historical significance
Dense coverage of plumose anemones and dead man's fingers along the boulder faces
Frequent encounters with foraging coastal cod and schools of pollack

Seasonality
Colder months offer significantly clearer water because algae blooms subside and freshwater runoff decreases.
