Dive-site story
Located off the lighthouse near Kaş, this dive features an intentionally scuttled Douglas C-47 Skytrain military transport aircraft resting on a sloping sandy seabed. The plane has broken into several sections over time from winter swell, allowing easy external viewing of the fuselage, intact cockpit controls, and wings. Ambient light penetrates cleanly through the fuselage openings, which shelter schooling damselfish and territorial Mediterranean marine life.
Well-preserved cockpit instrumentation visible from outside the airframe
Sprawling wings and radial engine mounts encrusted in sponges
Sheltered interior hosting schools of cardinalfish and squirrelfish
Frequent encounters with resident dusky groupers around the tail assembly
