Dive-site story
Situated off the Kapıdağ Peninsula in the Gulf of Fethiye, Peksimet Island is an exposed rocky islet rising abruptly from deeper waters. Divers explore its submerged terraces and steep stone walls, which transition into jumbled boulder fields at the base. The outer perimeter frequently attracts roving pelagic predators, while deep crevices shelter Mediterranean reef dwellers and scattered ancient amphora fragments.
Steep wall drop-offs along the exposed seaward side of the islet
Schools of Mediterranean barracuda and hunting jacks circling in open water
Centuries-old pottery shards wedged within rocky crevices
