Dive-site story
Situated in the channel between Bodrum harbor and Karaada (Black Island), Small Reef—locally known as Küçük Resif—is an isolated underwater seamount that rises abruptly from the Aegean seabed. The top of the reef provides a sunlit plateau covered in sponges and algae, while steep rocky drop-offs plunge on all sides into deep sandy plains. Its offshore position attracts pelagic hunters and provides shelter for Mediterranean reef dwellers within numerous cracks, ledges, and small caverns.
Submerged pinnacle topography featuring dramatic drop-offs and stepped rock ledges
Frequent encounters with territorial groupers and patrolling barracuda schools
