Dive-site story
Situated off the coast of Çeşme near Donkey Island, this cavern dive takes its name from a spacious, dome-shaped chamber hollowed into the limestone reef. Natural sunlight filters through structural ceiling fissures, illuminating interior walls encrusted with sponges and bryozoans. Outside the cavern, rocky ledges and boulder fields slope away into the Aegean, providing shelter for local reef species.
Large natural cavern chamber with ambient light shafts penetrating through overhead cracks
Sponges, anemones, and tube worms lining the interior cavern rock faces
Surrounding drop-off where groupers and moray eels patrol rocky crevices
